Birds Perched on Stamps

Bringing together nearly 2,000 stamps from 144 countries, Salim Yavaş, Chairman of the Board of Anemon Hotels, compiled his collection in a book titled “Birds Perched on Stamps.” Aiming to contribute both to his hobby and to our cultural heritage, Salim Yavaş prepared this book to share his passion and support tourism by including stamps he collected during his travels abroad.

This book, featuring stamps from the collection of Salim Yavaş—owner of one of the world’s distinguished stamp collections—achieved international recognition at the BALKANFILA-20 event held in Thessaloniki from November 13–16, 2024. The bird-themed philatelic works prepared by Şerif Antepli and presented in the book “Birds Perched on Stamps” were awarded the Vermeil Medal in the literature category.

“Birds Perched on Stamps” also gains a scientific dimension by providing firsthand information about the beauty of nature and birds.
